Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) expect that the biomethane injection facility in Mitchelstown, which is to be located on the N73 on the north of the town, will become active in 2024.
The biomethane central grid injection (CGI) facility in Mitchelstown is the centrepiece of the €30 million ‘Green Renewable Agricultural Zero Emissions’ (GRAZE) renewable gas project, which GNI says is “aimed at creating a new co-op style, sustainable farm-based renewable gas industry in the region.”
