A young mother from Ballylanders has urged health minister Simon Harris TD, to sort out the health service and in particular the waiting times for sick children to see an orthopaedic surgeon.

Una Quish said it isn’t acceptable for her son Noah, who has scoliosis, to be waiting for almost a year to see a specialist despite her doctor describing his condition as 'urgent'.

Ms Quish is adamant that her son is a priority case after noticing that the curvature of his spine is rapidly getting worse. 

“He needs to see a specialist now as his back is getting worse so fast and he can't sit for long because of the pain.
