Clondulane was a hive of activity last Sunday morning as upwards of 300 athletes gathered for the annual Blackwater 10 mile road race.
Despite competition from a variety of other similar events, the Blackwater 10, which is AAI approved, remains consistently popular on the road race circuit.
A fundraiser for both Clondulane National School and Breakthrough Cancer Research, it benefits from having two substantial sponsors in Cavanagh's of Fermoy and Laya Healthcare.
It's an event that takes a lot of stewarding and again, locals are not found wanting in this regard.
