Amyra Joyce – remember the name. The 10-year-old, 5th class pupil in Gaelscoil de hide, Fermoy, is set to make her acting debut on AMC’s hit TV series ‘Into the Badlands’, when the second season of the show airs in 2017.
The show premiered in November 2015 with over six million viewers in America, while filming for the second season has been ongoing in Ireland throughout 2016.
Amrya plays Amelia in second series, and while she can’t give too much away, she says her character plays a prominent role in at least two of the season’s episodes (five and six). The series revolves around a warrior and a young boy journeying through a dangerous land, 500 years in the future after an apocalyptic event.
