Gardai are investigating an assault on a woman in Rathcormac which took place on Sunday evening.
The 33-year-old woman was walking her dog with a male on the main street of the village at 9pm on Sunday night when the incident occurred after an altercation broke out between the male and another man.
Gardai are examining CCTV footage from the street at the time and are understood to be following a definite line of enquiry.
