Southern Stars light up the social dance scene
The Wolfe Tones, namely Noel Nagle, Tommy Byrne and Brian Warfield, are calling for "a Cork Gathering of all Wolfe Tones fans from 1963 to 2013” to join them at the Silver Springs Hotel for a Wolfe Tones 'On The One Road' show on this Sunday, 21st July.
The show is part of their ‘Spirit of the Nation’ tour, the lads having just returned from a world tour taking in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and Canada.
First taking to the stage in November 1963, The Wolfe Tones have collected every accolade possible including receiving the Freedom of the cities of New York and Los Angeles, selling out New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall and London’s Albert Hall, the list is endless.
The group continue to have a very large fan base in the Cork area and have always enjoyed a large and enthusiastic support in the area from as far back as 1964 and their first performance in Cork City. Given their longevity on the music scene, The Wolfe Tones fan base now spans generations, with their songs and ballads proving to be as popular and relevant as ever.
'The Streets of New York', 'Irish Eyes', 'My Heart is in Ireland', 'God Save Ireland', all their hits are still performed with pride and passion, as only The Wolfe Tones can!
