Fianna Fail councillors in The Avondhu region are split on whether they will vote in favour or reject a coalition with the Green Party and old rivals Fine Gael.
This newspaper contacted councillors Frank O’Flynn, Deirdre O’Brien and William O’Leary of Cork County Council.
Party members are set to have a vote on the coalition deal in the coming days as ballot papers will be posted before this weekend.
Their comments come as Cllr Ian Doyle, the current County Mayor, came out and said he was unhappy with the prospect of a Fianna Fail/Green/Fine Gael marriage.
