Veronica O’Donoghue to retire after 30 years at St Colman’s

A presentation was made to Veronica O’Donogue, principal of St Colman’s College, Fermoy recently as she prepares to retire in August following thirty years of service to the local secondary school.

As sixth-year students at the secondary school made their graduation, it was also a bitter-sweet moment for the entire school as they marked Mrs O’Donoghue’s upcoming retirement.

“They did a lovely presentation to me. It was really nice and very thoughtful. They said very kind words. It was amazing really because all the parents were there and they all stood up,” Mrs O’Donoghue said.
