Glenville GAA Club continues to be attacked by vandals, with the most recent hit being one of the worst yet.

Although the GAA grounds are closed and currently under construction, vandals took the opportunity to break in and cause damage.

The pitch is undergoing a facelift to transform it into a 2,100 square metre, floodlit, all-weather facility with new ball catch nets on the main pitch.

Speaking with The Avondhu earlier this week, Glenville GAA PRO John O’Connor said: “It’s demoralising because we’ve put a lot of effort in, and it’s costing a quarter of a million to do this, it’s just disheartening.”
