The race headquarters of Mallow Autograss Club at Ballyguyroe near Kildorrery was completely destroyed by fire in a wanton act of vandalism in the early hours of Monday morning, the replacement value of what was destroyed being estimated at ‘tens of thousands’.
Gardaí in Kildorrery are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information on the matter to contact them on 022-25162 or any garda station or alternatively to contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
The scene was forensically examined by Gardaí and their investigations are continuing and no arrest had been made at the time of going to press.
