Local entrepreneurs, brothers Paul and Niall Condon from Strawhall in Fermoy, along with Steve Dwyer, have taken ownership of Ireland’s largest ice cream provider, Silver Pail Dairy.
The new owners, speaking to The Avondhu this week, are expected to bring their vast experience in the food and beverage industry to return the Fermoy-based business to profitability.
Shane McCarthy from KPMG, the appointed examiner, said that there had been ‘strong interest’ from many parties, however, the proposal from local entrepreneurs stood out.
