Avondhu Blackwater Partnership recently delivered training locally in manual handling and first aid awareness to a group under the Tús Community Employment initiative.

Tús supervisor, Adrian Murphy, extended his congratulations to all those who participated in both training modules. "Manual handling is a physical activity that takes place in every workplace, therefore this training is vital to demonstrate how to carry out manual handling tasks correctly," he explained.

First aid awareness is equally important, he said, in that it relates to some of the more common work-related injuries and "is an excellent way to increase the level of first aid awareness in the workplace."
