Members of the newly formed Anglesboro Vintage Club will be keeping an eye on the forecast when they settle in to the turkey at lunchtime on Christmas Day, as they have a big tractor run coming up two days later.
At this stage the word has gone out far and wide about the run on December 27th. However, as with any event where you're bringing large amounts of vehicles out on to public roads, there's a good bit of organising and planning. The club also have the full backing of Anglesboro Community Council - a group never afraid to put their shoulder to the wheel. Consistent with all fundraisers, generating cash is the name of the game and the entry fee is €20 per vehicle (every competitor must sign in before the run).
ENTERTAINMENT
It's not all about taking as all drivers are automatically entered into a draw with €100 going to the winner. Soup and sandwiches will be served in Anglesboro Community Hall following the event. We've also been asked to mention that there will be entertainment in The Galtee View Lounge (Anglesboro) from 6pm that evening.
There are a number of contact telephone numbers for anyone seeking more details, they are Mike (086-3284033), Tom (086-8186769) or Dan (086-2549014).
