Things run smoothly in Clogheen

Following a postponement of the originally scheduled gala day in Clogheen due to bad weather, all was forgotten when the sunshine came out for the rescheduled annual event.

Clogheen's recently rescheduled gala day was a great success. As usual, the always immaculately presented Fr. Sheehy GAA field was the setting for the afternoon's activities. A severe weather alert caused the original postponement, however, this time it was a case of sunshine and clear skies.

In keeping with the host venue, Gaelic games featured prominently with local juveniles pitting their wits and skills against neighbouring teams. The youthful participants served up some very entertaining fare much to the delight of mentors and supporters.

The obstacle course posed plenty of challenges and there was no shortage of candidates. The bouncy castle was also a big draw for the younger ones.....
