Some of us still remember the time you had to go back to the car if you were not sure whether you had locked it. Or, when you had taken your family for a trip, the time you were not really sure where in the huge city you had parked the car.
Or even the time you had to look for a – today vintage – paper service book to make sure when the next service was due. Well, all of these issues and many more are solved by the MyMazda Application, conveniently on your smartphone.
The MyMazda Application, which is available for free in the Apple AppStore and the Google Play store, was first introduced in 2020. It first offered Connected Services across Europe for the all-electric Mazda MX-30.
New Mazda cars now offer different functionality through the app. The Mazda2, Mazda2 hybrid, Mazda MX-5, Mazda CX-3 and Mazda6 offer service history, Mazda dealer search, annual service plan, Roadside assistance, and the car manual.
The Mazda3, Mazda CX-30, Mazda CX-5, and in the near future the diesel Mazda CX-60, offer even more. On the app you can see if the car is locked, where your car is parked, range and tyre pressure. In case your Mazda’s alarm system is triggered, the application sends a warning.
The all-electric and PHEV vehicles – the Mazda MX-30 and Mazda CX-60 PHEV – also offer a wide range of battery management functions. These functions include notifications if a driver forgets to plug in the charging cable, the ability to control charging using a timer, monitoring the charging progress, and a range indicator.
The MyMazda app also gives drivers real-time information on charging point availability and location, allows them to view key information such as plug types and opening hours, plus sends the destination directly to the navigation system within seconds.
Other convenient functions include being able to control the air-conditioning settings remotely. As no engine is required, users can define cabin temperature, turn on/off windscreen ventilation, and adjust the rear screen heating before entering the vehicle.
The ability to pre-warm or pre-cool the car while it is plugged in reduces demand on the battery once driving. Additional remote commands include door locking and a vehicle finder for added driver peace of mind when away from the car.
