Dear Editor,
Mitchelstown lost another icon when Christy Hanly died. No one ever called him Christy or even by his birth name Patrick, always the full title.
Christy was a character who lived his life different to everyone else, his likes will never be found again. He was a good man and I will always remember his memory when I see the empty bench in New Square.
