For two weekends from this Thursday 27th to Sunday, 30th November and Thursday 4th December to Sunday 7th December at 8pm nightly, Friars’ Gate bring their production of Ken Bourke's hilarious play 'The Hunt for Red Willie' to the Kilmallock stage.

On a remote stretch of bog in Donegal in 1829, a local landlord meets his end after an encounter with the notorious Red Willie. What follows is a bawdy romp full of adventure, romance and innuendo, fast paced and witty with a delectable plot full of twists and turns and playful echoes of some of the classic plays of Irish theatre.

Directed by Joan Sheehy, the production features a very talented and well-known local cast including Annie Casey, Michael Dennehy, Mandy Donworth, Eilish Heffernan, Liam Houlihan, Max Hennessey, Robert Lee, Jim Lynch, Paul McCarthy and Sharon O’Carroll.
