Terry Jenkins remains one of the most popular dart players of the modern era and after the exhibition on Friday night, April 17 in the Ramble Inn it was easy to see why.

This hugely talented and popular PDC player came to Mitchelstown to assist us in a darts exhibition in aid of a local fundraiser.

Fionn Doyle is only 3 years old, a native of Scart in Kildorrery, Fionn has been battling Leukaemia from a very early age. He will remain in and out of hospital for treatment until he is at least 5 years old. Our aim was to help ease the huge financial burden regarding his treatment this has been placed on his parents Eimear and Jack.

21 local dart players took sponsorship cards to help raise much needed funds to help Fionn battle this life threatening disease. A great night’s entertainment was enjoyed by the large crowd and Terry Jenkins was delighted to be able to help use his wonderful talent and showmanship to help make the night a huge success for this very worthy cause.

Terry Jenkins is highly regarded as being one of the best exhibitionists in the business and he did not disappoint on the night with some wonderful finishing and an array of trick shots. Add to that his very charming and witty personality and you can see why everyone that attended agreed that this made such a brilliant night’s entertainment.

Congrats to Pakie Sheehan who was the only player to beat the ‘Raging Bull’ on the night. This was one of the best exhibitions we have ever held and huge credit must go to everyone who participated and helped in any small way in making the Doyle family’s life that little bit easier.

We hope our donation will make a positive difference in this young boys future in the coming weeks and months.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone that made this night possible. Your contribution, whether it be a donation, buying a ticket, sponsoring a player, a raffle prize or giving a helping hand, in getting the show up and running is greatly appreciated and I commend you all for your efforts. We exceeded expectation on what we could raise and that is all down to your combined generosity and goodwill.

To answer the question as to when the next exhibition night will be held we are already working at this and it will be most likely towards the end of the year.
