Locals in Fermoy were left shocked and frightened on Tuesday, 4 February, when at least two fights involving groups of teenagers reportedly broke out in the town.
One shop owner on MacCurtain Street Fermoy said that she had seen a large gathering of teenagers on the street and heard a commotion, however it seemed to pass off very quickly.
Another Fermoy local, speaking to The Avondhu, said he understood that the brawling teens had knocked a passing woman off the footpath and onto the road.
