Teagasc has all the right ingredients for a Food Hub

In terms of scale and location the ‘new building’ at Teagasc Moorepark, stands out.

Unmissable to passing traffic, this work in progress is officially the Teagasc National Food Innovation Hub – a vital piece of infrastructure, funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine that will ensure Ireland remains at the cutting edge of food research and product development.

When complete, the food hub will contain: offices, laboratories and storage space. 

Teagasc Director, Professor Gerry Boyle, said that ‘by renting a unit, companies have the opportunity to leverage world class resources to enhance their own research and innovation programmes’.
