The unique refurbishment works at the Alms Houses on the Youghal Road in Tallow are nearly complete and the allocation process is already underway. 

Leetherm Construction have been on site since April and have developed four social housing units at the site – 2 two-bed units and 2 one-bed units on behalf of Waterford City and County Council. 

Despite having been built almost 200 years ago, Derek Lyons, chief technician in housing at Waterford Council, said that many elements of the building were in excellent condition when the refurbishment works began.
