Temporary public toilets in Fermoy Town Park could be in-situ for the summer if Fermoy representatives have their way.

Cllr Noel McCarthy made the request to the council at a meeting this week, saying that on a sunny day there could be 300 people in the park and that the facilities were very necessary.

Complimenting the staff of Fermoy Swimming Pool, who sometimes let the desperate adults and children use the facilities, he said it still presented a lot of pressure on them in busy periods.
