The annual summer camp will take place in July with Mon 15th to Thursday 18th the dates for the diary. Application forms and recent notes stated 17th – 20th July which was incorrect. The camp will run for four days 10am to 2pm each day and is open to boys and girls aged 6 and over and will cost €50 for the four days of fun, events and basic soccer skills, drills and games.

All participants will receive a full crested kit including jersey, togs, socks and kit bag on completion of the camp. So once again the summer camp dates are Monday, 15th July to Thursday, 18th July. Apologies for the confusion folks.

Lotto

Results from June 25th, draw at The Butchers Bar. Jackpot €2,050. Numbers drawn 5, 10, 14 and 16. No winner. Lucky dips €20 – Mary Casey c/o K. Wheeler; Liam Howard c/o K. Howard; Paddy Whelan c/o Motty and Peg McCarthy c/o Centra.

Next week’s jackpot 2150. Draw will take place in Cotter’s Bar at 9pm sharp. Tickets on sale locally for €1.50 and as always, all support is very much appreciated.

Gold Outing

The fundraising committee have been busy organising a golf outing in Lismore and the date for the diary is Saturday, 20th July. Teams of 3 players are now open to enter. €90 per team the entry fee. The format will be 3 ball scramble and the first tee time will be 11am.

Teams wishing to enter can do so by ringing John on 087 9630461 or Gus on 086 3685033. This promises to be a great day out with a number of prizes up for grabs and all proceeds going toward the Sheila Flynn Park development fund.

Sheila Flynn Park – Update

Progress in this area has been slow in recent weeks with the involved planners and engineers on summer holidays. Expectation is that we will see some movement in this area in the coming weeks and hopefully see the plans finally go to the relevant authorities for review. More next week folks.

U9/U10 games

Unfortunately a number of clubs due to play some friendlies had to pull out, but the club do hope to get a few games with locals Fermoy FC in the coming weeks with the 9-10 age category the most likely age group. Just waiting for Fermoy to advise on availability and we can set the dates.

Managers/coaches required

This coming season we are hoping to enter teams on the U8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and U13 age groups. However the only way this is possible is to have coaches to look after the teams. The club are pleading with any parents with kids involved to get in touch ASAP with Kevin on 083 0836930, as without willing parents we will not be in a position to enter these age groups which would be unfortunate.

In essence, no coaches no team, so please get in touch with Kevin or any club officer ASAP as we will shortly be taking registrations and entering teams. As outlined, if we don’t get the coaches required we will have to discontinue with the plans for the age groups involved which would be a disaster for the kids who love the game.

Sympathy

Sympathies were extended at the most recent meeting to the Tobin families, Kilworth and to the Lynch family, Fermoy on their recent bereavements.
