FACE (Fermoy Action for Children's Education) is a voluntary group set up to assist young people with learning difficulties. Demand for their services continues to increase and as a result, this creates additional financial pressures.
FACE volunteers were delighted when members of Fermoy Macra decided to organize a fundraising 5km fun run in aid of the group.
This very well supported event took place in Kilworth last Sunday and was a great success. The rain stayed away and participants were able to complete the course in comfort.

There was a great buzz of excitement as walkers, joggers and runners crossed the finishing line - everyone who completed the course received a medal. Fermoy DJ, Timmy Raz Flynn was MC for the event and did a very professional job. Refreshments were also made available at The Avondhu Bar in Fermoy.

Fermoy Macra and Tom Ahern, in particular, did a huge amount of work before, during and after this fundraising event and those who help run FACE are very appreciative of his and Fermoy Macra's efforts.
