
Round 5 of the 2025 Formula Drift Pro Championships in St. Louis, witnessed Irish drift legend James Deane claim yet another victory, reinforcing his status as one of drifting’s all-time greats, alongside second place Killavullen native, 25 year old Jack Shanahan, who had been the championship’s dark horse in the final stage.
The championships kicked off at St Louis, Missouri, USA from Friday, July 18th to Saturday, July 20th, with Jack Shanahan as the rookie underdog, becoming the competition’s dark horse.
Four time Formula Drift Pro champion, James Deane would battle it out in a ferocious encounter with three time Pro champion, Fredric Aasbo. Deane defeated the Norwegian drifter to book his place in the final.
