Elisa Fenton and Bronagh Wiley of Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy were two of the finalists competing for the title of Supreme Apprentice Chef at the south-east final of the 2019 Apprentice Chef Schools Programme at Waterford IT on Thursday, May 16. 

The theme of the Apprentice Chef project – ‘Good Mood Food’ – promotes the importance of healthy eating in overall personal, physical and mental wellbeing, as well as combating obesity and other health issues. 

Bronagh impressed the judges with her dish of honey teriyaki salmon with noodles and a soy glaze, as did Elisa with her garlic and rosemary rib eye steak, crispy onion rings and bearnaise sauce.
