At the end of this month, Ballyhoura Development will run a course for people who wish to start their own businesses.

The course will start on January 27 and will be suitable for those with a business idea, those established in business, anyone who has just started a business or people in receipt of the Back to Work Enterprise allowance.

It will run in Coote Hall in Kilmallock (across from Deebert House) over six sessions from 10am until 3pm on the following days: January 27, January 28, February 3, 4, 10 and 17.

The course will equip individuals with experience of what's involved in setting up a business, help them to develop self-awareness, confidence and self-esteem, help them to develop a good support network and they will also benefit from visits from role models, whose experiences they may be able to relate to.

The modules will include idea generation, business plan development, communication, business administration, marketing practice and computer applications and the one-to-one element will ensure that each participant gets the appropriate level of guidance and support.

To book a place on the course, please contact Ballyhoura Development, Caherconlish, Co Limerick on 061-351217 or email jhassett@ballyhoura.org.
