Work on phase two of the remedial scheme at St Mary’s Crescent in Fermoy is progressing well, members of the Northern Area Committee of Cork County Council were told at their monthly meeting this week.
Cllr Frank O’Flynn raised the matter, having asked for a progress report on the works which were stalled when the contractor went into receivership. Fermoy Town Council appointed a new contractor to finish the works last year.
Cllr O’Flynn was told that 10 of the 11 houses undergoing major refurbishment are at an advanced stage. He welcomed the news.
