Saint George’s, Mitchelstown is delighted to host an evening of chamber music in association with Ortús Chamber Music Festival on March 2nd at 7.30pm.
The 9th Ortús Chamber Music Festival will run from February 25th-March 3rd in venues around Cork city and county, featuring 10 of the world’s most celebrated classical musicians.
The festival, founded in 2016 by renowned Irish musicians Sinéad O’Halloran and Mairéad Hickey, was set up with the goal of providing performance platforms for some of Ireland’s finest young musicians alongside their international peers. Committed to highlighting the achievements of Irish musicians and composers on the world stage, while bridging connections with musicians worldwide.
The musicians are: Mairéad Hickey – violin, Ella van Poucke – cello, Jérémie Moreau – piano, who will perform a programme including Schubert – Grand Duo, Prokofiev – Cello sonata and Brahms – Trio no 1.
We will host the 4th concert of the festival for a delightful evening concert starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Saint George’s Arts and Heritage Centre, local outlets and on Eventbrite.ie
