The tradition of athletics in Killavullen goes back to the 60's and beyond. More commonly known as 'sports', this is a long standing event in the area that's retained its popularity.
This year's Killavullen sports took place on Thursday evening last in the Mill Field, which is home to Killavullen GAA – an impressive facility that's maintained to a very high standard.
As with any outdoor event, there's no guarantee when it comes to the weather, but, thankfully, the rain stayed away.
