Rescheduled from Saturday due to inclement weather, Kilworth’s Christmas lights were officially turned in the village square last Sunday evening. Conditions were ideal and a large crowd attended.
Life president of Kilworth Community Council, Michael Dunne, performed the countdown, assisted by his daughter, Claire and community activist, Sarah O’Brien. Sarah thanked everyone who assisted with the installation of the lights, which includes an illuminated crib. New lights have been added this year and great credit is due to electrician, William Hegarty and his team.
Lights have also been attached to several mature trees in the village, further enhancing the project.
