The Davy Fitzgerald concept 'Cork's Fittest Superstars' took place in the grounds of Kildorrery GAA last Saturday. Organisers were at the venue from daybreak and while the forecast was promising, few could have anticipated it would be the warmest day of the year.

The first of the 40 plus teams were sent off at 9.35am and for the next 7 hours, it was non-stop action as teams ran, jumped and climbed their way around a formidable course. 

NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED
You must admire those who sign up to hang from bars, negotiate an obstacle course, jump from great heights and scramble up a 12 feet high wall.

To a man and woman, all deserve great praise – something that Davy Fitzgerald also acknowledged.
