Last week, An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced a further series of restrictions designed to curtail and slow the spread of Covid-19.
However, anecdotal evidence from across The Avondhu region suggests that some people are continuing to flout the requests of Government, in particular when it comes to group gatherings.
Congregating
One entrepreneur and social media influencer from County Cork, recently addressed this issue on social media.
Recounting a scene from Tallow, West Waterford, Fermoy native Sabrina Hill said that some people there were clearly ignoring social distancing guidelines when she visited the town.
“There were clearly people walking out of the Centra who were parting ways and they were having a chat too, and they were far closer than two meters,” she noted, adding that two other women were sitting outside the shop, talking.
