There was a single vehicle collision in the Lisnasallagh area of Fermoy just off the Old Dublin Road at approximately 4.45pm on Tuesday evening last.

An Garda Siochána, the Cork County Fire Service and paramedics arrived quickly to the scene when a witness rang 999.

The roof was removed from the overturned car by the fire service to ensure safe removal of the driver from the vehicle.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a man in his 60s, received minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
