A local businessman has made a significant contribution towards the upkeep of Mitchelstown Playground after reading about it’s sorry condition in last week’s edition of The Avondhu.
Denis McGrath said that he is forever hearing at meetings that more activities are needed for the children of Mitchelstown.
“Liz and I feel very strongly about this and even though we have no small children anymore, we would like to offer €1,000 to help renovate the playground and I will give an hour a week of my time to help with the upkeep of the ground…”
