A tender for the appointment of a Technical Advisor for works to the N72 in Fermoy town, namely on Patrick Street and Pearse Square, is currently underway.
Niall Healy, Director of Roads and Transportation at Cork County Council outlined to elected members at Monday’s meeting of the Northern Divisional Committee that it may be Q4 of 2024 before works will be seen on the ground.
Mayor of the County of Cork Cllr Frank O’Flynn, called attention to the need for works on Fermoy’s main street, as well as Pearse Square and MacCurtain Street, claiming that funds for the works are available.
