A Dail deputy has confirmed that Lynch Camp in Kilworth is only being used by military personnel and not by civilians suffering from Covid-19.
Inaccurate rumours were circulating around The Avondhu area in recent weeks in which it was claimed that members of the public suffering with Covid-19, were being put in the camp to prevent the spread of the illness.
Enquiries by this newspaper in recent weeks found that there was no truth in the rumour.
