Shaws in Fermoy said 'thank you' to its loyal customers at a special event in the store on Friday last, and they did it in some style.
Staff led the way in the style stakes for the customer appreciation evening, dressing up to greet and welcome customers to enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles. There was music, spot prizes, face painting for children and even guest appearances by Snow White and Teletubby Tinky Winky. Best of all was the 20% discount which was offered off almost everything in the store, and in their children's wear department, during the evening.
The popular department store chain is celebrating its 150th year this year and last Friday's event in Fermoy was part of those celebrations, as well as a way to let customers know they are valued. It was also an opportunity for new customers to visit the store and see what it has to offer.
It certainly created quite a buzz throughout. Manager Niamh O'Shea said she and staff were delighted with the success of the event.
