This Friday, December 6, a past pupil from Shanballymore NS will make a welcome return to his home village to perform a cookery demonstration in aid of the local school.

Award winning chef, Pat Kiely, has been a chef for more than twenty years and living in West Cork with his family, Pat owns two restaurants and is about to open a third.

Principal Michael O'Sullivan said that Pat is delighted to be returning to his home village for the Christmas themed cookery demonstration. On the night, he will prepare two starters, main courses and desserts. There will also be a cheese and wine reception and all local food suppliers are being welcomed to sell their produce at the event.

All funds raised on the night will go towards the school development and improvement plan. Work has been steadily progressing on the new extension at the school.

Tickets at €10 are available from Shanballymore NS reception, Shanballymore Post Office, Thatch & Thyme in Kildorrery and Coral Dry Cleaners, Kildorrery. The cookery demo takes place at 8pm sharp in the community centre, Shanballymore.
