“We’re not here to take part, we’re here to take over,” the now famous quote from UFC fighter Conor McGregor really encapsulates the past weekend for Jack and Conor Shanahan at the British Drift Championships (BDC), as they both came home with podium placements in their respective classes.
The whole family, a cousin and Darragh Curtin (who worked as a mechanic for the Shanahans at the event) all rolled into the Teeside Autodrome in Middlesbrough on Saturday last for round 3 of the BDC in style in their branded Shanahan Car Sales camper van.
On Saturday last, Conor took part in the Pro-Am class, with his older brother Jack spotting him and he impressively came away with a position in the top 4 and went on to win the Pro-Am class.
