SEMRA, the South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association, were called to two callouts on the Galtees on Sunday morning, in an environment of ‘strong winds, rain and areas of poor visibility’.

The first callout at 11.30am was to assist a lost walker that had become disorientated and worried in the poor weather. However, the incident was stood down after the walker received help from a passing walking group.

The second callout, just 30 minutes later at 12.06pm, was from a group of walkers who got separated in poor visibility and got concerned for one member.
