Cllr John Murphy has hit out at those responsible for an act of vandalism to a seat on the Barnane Walk in Fermoy. He said he was ‘disgusted’ to discover the damage to the seat at the upper end of the walk.

“The mindless individuals who carried out this act had nothing better to do,” said the local councillor, who regularly uses the popular river walk.

“Despite the best efforts of local Gardai the walk is, unfortunately, a gathering place for drinking sessions,” he added.
