Search concludes with recovery of body

The body of missing Kilworth woman, Catherine Reidy, was recovered from the river Blackwater last Saturday afternoon. 

Catherine, who was in her 60s, had been missing since Wednesday, 13th January. Her disappearance triggered a huge land and river search, involving dozens of specialist teams along with members of the public.

Last seen close to Ballyfean Bridge, between Fermoy and Kilworth, this area became the focus of an extensive search, which was co-ordinated by gardai from Fermoy and Mitchelstown.
