Scór na bPáistí youngsters impress in Watergrasshill

Winners from last Sunday’s East Cork Scór na bPáistí finals will take part in the county semi-finals this Friday, March 14.

There was a fine attendance at last Sunday's East Cork Scór na bPáistí finals in Watergrasshill Community Centre. All categories were keenly contested with the winners progressing to the county semi-finals in Ovens on Friday, March 14.

Results as follows: figure dancing - r/u Carraig-na-bhFear & 1st Fr O'Neills; solo dancing - r/u Aisling Walsh, Cobh Hurling Club & 1st Ava Ni Murchu Cobh Camogie Club; solo singing - r/u Aoibhinn Burke, Aghada Camogie Club & 1st Treasa Ni Cinnire, Youghal Camogie Club; instrumental music - r/u Aghada & 1st Glanmire; solo music - Kate O'Shea, Aghada & 1st Jenna Pelly, St Catherines; novelty act - r/u Cobh & 1st Carrigtwohill Camogie Club; ballad group - r/u Aghada & 1st Carrigtwohill; recitation - r/u Niall Flynn, Dungourney & 1st Daniel McCarthy, Aghada Camogie; set dancing - Carraig-na-bhFear and question time - r/u Carraig-na-bhFear and 1st Aghada.

Fear an tí for the afternoon was Sean O Fathaigh and the perpetual trophies presented included: Micheal Foley Cup (Fr O'Neills); May Cahill Cup (Carraig-na-bhFear); Casey/Buckley Cup (Carraig-na-bhFear) and the Chris O'Mahony Cup went to Aghada.

The winners take part in the county semi-final this Friday , March 14 in the Eire Og pavilion, Ovens, which will also host the Cork finals on Saturday, March 29, commencing at 6pm.
