Congratulations to Elaine Looby, who last Wednesday became the sixth BCS student in the last seven years to take home the title of overall SciFest at WIT champion. This autumn, she will compete against the other IT winners from around Ireland in the national final, SciFest at Intel at Intel Headquarters in Kildare. Elaine is fighting for the chance to represent Ireland at the 2014 International Science and Engineering fair in LA, USA. Two years ago BCS students Eoghan Flynn and Ruairi O'Neill came second in category at this world fair, an amazing achievement. At present their project is taking part in the World Science and Engineering Fair in Texas. Here's hoping Elaine will follow in their footsteps!!
