This year’s Rocky Mayhem festival in Kilfinane is not to be missed with an amazing line up that includes globally renowned DJ Lisa Lashes, country music star Mike Denver, Cork’s Frank and Walters and lots of young talent.
Last year, the festival broke away from the usual format and was held over the course of two weekends, but this year it’s back to the former format and the whole festival will take place over one weekend from June 12-15.
The volunteers from Kilfinane Community Council have been putting in trojan work to organise the impressive line up and the festival is set to have a wonderful spin off effect for the businesses in the town and further afield.
Over the years, the festival has gone from strength to strength and it is now established as one of the area’s biggest festivals.
Some of the top attractions include DJ Lisa Lashes, Mike Denver who was voted Entertainer of the Year 2014, great indie music from Limerick Band Windings, O Emperor, Frank and Walters, and then on Sunday night to bring the festival to a spectacular end, local rockers Footloose, Handipak and Dueces Wild will take to the stage.
To make sure that the festival is accessible to all, tickes prices have been kept to an affordable price.
“We all know how difficult things are in the present climate, but all proceeds raised go to the community centre project, so your support is vital. Tickets will be avilable at local outlets soon. So don’t be disappointed, get your tickets early,” chairman Tommy O’Sullivan said.
Keep up to date with the Rocky Mayhem news through The Avondhu, Facebook, Twitter, on www.rockymayhem.ie or speak to any member of the community council.
