Plans for the 2023 Fermoy Tidy Towns project have recently been unveiled, with a host of improvements for a green area in the town now set to be implemented.

Located on the junction of Devlin Street and Clancy Street, the green area in question adjacent to the Fermoy Town Playground (‘The Pool’), is to become more accessible and vibrant under the initiative.

Recently, funding to the tune of €11,500 was allocated to the project by Cork County Council via the Fermoy Pay Parking Dividend.

“On behalf of Fermoy Tidy Towns, we are delighted again to have a project this year working with Cork County Council and Avondhu Blackwater. Without them this project wouldn’t be able to go ahead,” said Cllr Noel McCarthy, chairperson of Fermoy Tidy Towns.
