The 2023 RETRO Cannonball is coming to Waterford, Cork and Tipperary this weekend, with a stopover in Little Island where people can view the beautiful cars, take photos, and meet the drivers.
The event starts in Wexford this Friday 26th, and the 100 classic cars will take in magnificent drives along the Copper Coast before reaching The Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa at Little Island at 6pm where people can come and ogle the classic car convoy.
The range includes some rare Jaguar E-Types, and Ferrari will be well represented with a number of 348 GTS. There will be some beautiful Mercedes-Benz SL classics, a Lancia Beta, a BMW 635CSI, a Porsche 911 Carrera and a Porsche 911 Targa, an MG Midget, a Ford Escort Cosworth, a beautiful Chevrolet Corvette, a classic VW Beetle, a Ford Thunderbird, a Mini Cooper and many, many more.
The event will be raising money for The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, and has already raised €1,477,052 for Irish Charities.
On day two, the RETRO Cannonballers will leave Little Island in Cork at 10am and make their way to Cashel for lunch, and then up through the Hidden Heartlands for a big finish in Tullamore.
