Following last month’s deputation introduced by Cllr Frank O’Flynn, highlighting the dangers at Leary’s Cross on the Conna/Rathcormac road outside Bridesbridge, senior engineer for Cork County Council Brendan O’Gorman has agreed to improve the lining at the junction.

He has also agreed to get the design team from Cork County Council to survey it and design it ‘and then see what the cost benefit analysis will be’.

As always, funding is the biggest barrier to getting the realignment works carried out and Mr O’Gorman does not expect that it will be done in the near future.
