Doesn't it just sound great! Rattlesnake Annie and The Berea Bluegrass Trio, not a lady and her band but a super double act lined up for The Village Arts Centre, Kilworth on Tuesday, July 8.

This is Bluegrass and Country at its very best and comes to us all the way from Tennessee and Kentucky, USA.

RATTLESNAKE ANNIE

Rattlesnake Annie was born of Cherokee Indian and Scotch Irish heritage on a cotton and tobacco farm in Tennessee, near the Kentucky border, at the crossroads of country and bluegrass music. She has performed on the Grand Ole Opry and recorded with such top names as Willie Nelson and Peter Rowan.

BEREA

Our old friends from Berea, Kentucky are back, this time as the Berea Bluegrass Trio, featuring Al White on guitar, fiddle and vocals, Ryan Blevins on mandolin, guitar and vocals and Sam Gleaves on banjo and vocals.

This show will be a double act with each  doing a seperate set and even though this will be the first time they will be meeting, who knows - they just may end up doing something together.

Tickets are €15 and are now on sale from the usual outlets - The Avondhu office, Fermoy (025-32227); Cotter's Bar, Kilworth (025-27109), Hyland's Bookshop, Mitchelstown (025-24528) or call 087-6492514 or 087-7921771.
